It's autumn again in my favourite city and there are so many things to love about NYC this time of year. There is a crispness to the air, wardrobes are transitioning and the city's leaves are changing before our eyes.

For the month of October, I have paired some staples with can't miss events guaranteed to get you in the mood for fall.

-Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years -  Warhol’s works including paintings, film and sculpture are shown alongside works of 60 other artists in this exhibit that explores his influence on contemporary art. Metropolitan Museum of Art through December 31st

-Take a wine class.  We may be past the fall back to school days at BECCA HQ, but we still love a classroom setting especially when wine is involved. At Otto, Mario Batali's restaurant in Greenwich Village, wine classes with different themes are offered on the weekends and Tuesday evenings. Private wine tastings for groups of six or more are also available. OTTO, One Fifth Avenue

-Debut a fall statement bag. We're loving the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel in burgundy.

-Drink a fall inspired cocktail at a cozy bar perfect for chilly weather. Fireplace is a plus! Our NYC favourites are Highlands, Dove Parlour and The Roebling Tea Room.

-Attend the largest Halloween Dog Parade in the US. This event at Tompkins Square Park is in its 22nd year and always delivers on the cute factor and the costumes are quite unique. It's definitely worth seeing at least once. Tompkins Square Park, October 20th at noon.
