Anyone remotely clued-up about the amount of effort it takes to look effortlessly natural has heard about Balayage by now. A French word for the technique hair stylists use to create that subtle 'grown-out colour with roots' look that is so au courant. But, be warned: it isn't safe to walk into any hair salon and request it, as so few stylists are actually trained in this relatively complicated technique, and it relies heavily on the stylist's creative expertise.
