One of the recurring themes in the beauty round-ups from the Spring Summer 2012 collections was contouring a la 80’s Vogue covers, but with a modernist twist. Contouring of now is done with bolts of colour instead of bronzer, juxtaposed with a fresh clean face so as not to come across as the war paint of old. We loved the look at Michael Kors, where the models’ cheekbones and temples were chiselled with a burnt orange colour, leaving the high planes of the face clear and light. We’ll be using our very own Mineral Blush in Wild Honey – a peachy nude to similar effect…
